I have recently joined the Natural Language and Speech Group (Departament of Informatics, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon), as a postdoctoral researcher on the QTLeap project.
I obtained the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Wolverhampton, where I had the pleasure to be a member of the
Research Group in Computational Linguistics and Research Institute in Information and Language Processing.
During the last three years, my research was mainly focused on "New Data-Driven Approaches to Text Simplification" (PhD thesis), conducted under the supervision of Prof. Ruslan Mitkov (University of Wolverhampton, UK), Dr. Constantin Orasan (University of Wolverhampton, UK) and Prof. Horacio Saggion (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain).
